A video showing Sunita Ahuja, wife of Bollywood actor Govinda, at a family court in Mumbai recently went viral on Facebook, triggering widespread speculation about the couple’s marriage. Given recent reports of friction between the pair, many netizens immediately questioned whether the couple was heading toward a divorce.
Addressing these rumors, Govinda’s assistant, Shashi Sinha, clarified that Sunita did not visit the court to file for divorce, but rather to withdraw a previously filed case. Sinha expressed disappointment that a private domestic matter had escalated to the point of public scrutiny, emphasizing that family issues should ideally be resolved within the household rather than through legal channels.
Reflecting on the nature of their relationship, Sinha remarked, “Arguments can happen, but the relationship continues.” He lamented that by taking the matter to court, the situation became a public spectacle, adding that many issues could have been settled through direct conversation. When asked why the case was filed in the first place if it was meant to be withdrawn, Sinha expressed frustration, stating that such public displays were unnecessary.
Regarding Govinda’s reaction to his wife’s court appearance, Sinha noted that the actor has not offered any official response yet. He suggested that the events are still fresh and expressed a hope that everyone involved acts with wisdom and discretion moving forward.
