Manchester City concluded their preseason tour in South Korea with a 3-1 victory over Atletico Madrid at the Seoul World Cup stadium. Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush proved decisive, netting a quick-fire brace that allowed the Premier League side to overcome a first-half deficit.

Atletico Madrid broke the deadlock late in the opening half when Jorge Dominguez capitalized on a defensive lapse during a corner kick to put his side ahead. Before conceding, Enzo Maresca’s squad had dominated possession, with Tijjani Reijnders, Josko Gvardiol, and Savinho all failing to convert promising opportunities.

The momentum shifted in the 57th minute when Antoine Semenyo bypassed his marker to deliver a precise cross for Marmoush to finish from close range. Just two minutes later, the duo combined again, with Marmoush latching onto another Semenyo delivery to secure a 2-1 lead for City. Despite Atletico introducing new signing Lee Kang-In and rotating their squad, they could not find an equalizer.

Rayan Ait-Nouri sealed the win in the 90th minute, breaking through the defense to score past substitute goalkeeper Carlos Esquivel. Following this result, Manchester City will face Arsenal in the Community Shield at Wembley next Sunday. Atletico Madrid now turns its attention to the La Liga season opener against Malaga on August 19.
