Australian golf standout Min Woo Lee has officially committed to the second edition of the DP World India Championship, marking his first professional appearance in the country. The tournament is scheduled to take place at the historic Delhi Golf Club from October 15 to 18, 2026.
Lee, a fan-favorite, will compete against a formidable field of international talent. Among those confirmed to join him are defending champion Tommy Fleetwood, Career Grand Slam winner Rory McIlroy, and the 2026 Open Champion Ryan Fox. The event continues to attract top-tier global competitors, solidifying its status as a premier fixture on the golfing calendar.
Reflecting on his career trajectory, Lee secured his maiden DP World Tour victory in 2020 at the ISPS HANDA Vic Open, just one year after turning professional. His success continued with two additional wins, including a notable Rolex Series triumph in Scotland. Furthermore, the Perth native achieved a significant milestone last season by winning the Texas Children’s Houston Open, where he outperformed both World Number One Scottie Scheffler and Major champion Gary Woodland.
Having represented Australia at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games and competed for the International team at the Presidents Cup that same year, Lee expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming trip. The $4,000,000 DP World India Championship was established in 2025 by the DP World Tour and global logistics provider DP World. Co-sanctioned with the DP World Professional Golf Tour of India, the event offers the largest prize purse for any DP World Tour competition held within the nation. It serves as the eighth of nine critical events in the Back 9 phase of the 2026 Race to Dubai, acting as a precursor to the season-ending Play-Offs and the final championship in Dubai this November.
The tournament field is bolstered by a collection of major winners and stars, including Shane Lowry, Justin Rose, European Ryder Cup Captain Luke Donald, and Viktor Hovland.
