Court filings reveal that the broadcaster’s legal representatives tried to serve subpoenas in May to Donald Trump Jr, Ivanka Trump, and Jared Kushner.
The legal action centers on a Panorama episode that featured an edit combining two distinct segments of a speech delivered by Trump prior to the 6 January 2021 Capitol riots. While the has issued an apology for the editing, it maintains that the action does not constitute grounds for a defamation claim.
