Actress Anupria Goenka, known for her roles in prominent films like Padmaavat, Tiger Zinda Hai, and War, recently shared her difficult experiences while shooting intimate scenes. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, she addressed whether co-stars have ever overstepped their boundaries while working together, revealing that she has encountered such situations on more than one occasion.

Reflecting on these incidents, the actress described a specific instance during a kissing scene where a co-star’s behavior made her feel uncomfortable. While she noted that the person might not have acted with malicious intent, the actor’s inability to maintain self-control in the moment left her feeling offended and uneasy. In another scenario, she had to shoot while wearing an outfit that made her feel vulnerable. During this time, she expected professional support from her scene partner, but instead, his behavior caused her significant embarrassment.

Addressing the challenges of the industry, Goenka noted that it was often difficult to raise an immediate protest during filming, fearing that the other person might dismiss the incident as an accidental mistake. Instead, she chose to address the issue privately by requesting that her co-star maintain better behavioral standards. According to the actress, the co-star acknowledged the situation and adhered to her requests afterward, though she opted not to disclose his name.

Goenka emphasized that while intimate scenes can be filmed in a natural and professional manner, they become distressing when there is excessive or unwanted force. She maintains that respecting a colleague’s comfort and personal boundaries is an essential component of acting. She highlighted that when there is mutual respect, cooperation, and awareness between the director and the actors, such unpleasant incidents can be effectively avoided.

Having made her debut with Bobby Jasoos, Goenka has built an extensive filmography including appearances in Dishoom and the recent film Berlin, where she performed alongside Aparshakti Khurana, Ishwak Singh, Rahul Bose, and Kabir Bedi. Beyond the silver screen, she has also established herself in the digital space through notable performances in web series such as Sacred Games, Criminal Justice, Asur: Welcome to Your Dark Side, Ashram, and Sultan of Delhi.
