A Dhaka court has ordered the Criminal Investigation Department to conduct a fresh inquiry into a case filed against actress Tanzin Nahar Tisha. The legal action involves allegations of breach of trust, cheating, and criminal intimidation over a disputed luxury garment.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Jashita Islam issued the directive on Sunday, October 25. The court has instructed the investigative agency to submit its findings by December 31. Plaintiff counsel Shubro Sinha Roy confirmed the judicial order.

The development follows a petition filed by the complainant rejecting previous findings submitted by the Police Bureau of Investigation. The court accepted the objection petition after conducting a hearing and recording statements from witnesses in the matter.

According to case records, the complainant operates a fashion studio located on Road 127 in Gulshan. The business owner and the actress developed a friendly relationship through professional collaborations in fashion events and award shows.

Court filings state that on December 13, 2024, the actress obtained a valued saree worth 75,000 taka through her former driver for an event. The complainant alleged that the garment was supposed to be returned the following day but was withheld.

Previously, the PBI submitted an investigation report stating that the complainant failed to provide documentary evidence supporting the fraud and threat accusations. During the inquiry, the actress maintained that her former driver left employment without returning the item and claimed the garment was later mailed back on March 31, 2026. Although the initial investigator concluded that the allegations lacked proof, the court ordered a comprehensive CID review following the complainant’s challenge.
