The Higher Organizing Committee of the UAE President’s Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses convened for a periodic meeting at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental hotel. The session was attended by Sultan Al Hemeiri, Matar Al Yabhouni Al Dhaheri, and committee members Musalam Al Amri and Faisal Al Rahmani, who also serves as the Secretary-General.
Officials reviewed the outcomes of the 33rd edition’s recent legs, which have garnered significant attention at various historic international racecourses. The committee highlighted the exceptional successes achieved during these events, including strong participation from elite breeders and owners, high spectator turnout, and effective media campaigns. These activities, which span across four continents, underscore the increasingly prominent position the race series maintains within the global horse racing community.
Looking ahead, the committee finalized organizational and logistical arrangements for the remaining legs of the series to ensure they meet the highest professional standards. Discussions also centered on new strategic plans to enhance cooperation with international racing bodies. Furthermore, the committee explored ways to expand the series’ digital presence and bolster promotional campaigns to reach a wider audience of equestrian enthusiasts worldwide.
Established in 1994, the UAE President’s Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses reflects the enduring vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who sought to promote the Arabian horse on the international stage as a vital piece of cultural heritage. Over the past 33 years, the event has benefited from the continuous support of His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court. Today, the Cup stands as the most prestigious and valuable competition of its kind, further cementing the UAE’s pivotal role in global equestrian sports.
