Addressing the media after the loss to Monaco—a match where PSG led at halftime before conceding twice—Enrique dismissed concerns about the team’s trajectory. He noted that Monaco only managed two shots on target throughout the game, both of which resulted in goals, and suggested that the final scoreline did not accurately reflect the balance of play.
“There is no reason to be concerned. I say that honestly,” Enrique stated, emphasizing that the focus should remain on performance rather than just the result. He argued that his side’s pressing was superior to many previous matches where they kept clean sheets, attributing the loss to a lack of fortune. “Monaco know that if they play against us like this 10 times, we win eight, there’d be one draw and we’d lose once. This was that one defeat,” he added.

Regarding the seven-point gap in the domestic league, Enrique remains optimistic about the team’s ability to recover. “It is incredible motivation for my players, for the team and for the club.
