The 43-year-old veteran, who previously competed under the ring name Rockstar Spud, stepped back into active competition recently by participating in two matches for Progress Wrestling, winning both contests.
During his previous tenure as an on-screen talent for the company, Maverick gained significant attention for his pursuit of the 24/7 Championship, securing the title on eight separate occasions. The championship was eventually retired on November 7, 2022, when Nikki Cross discarded the belt on an episode of RAW. Notably, Cross and the remaining members of the Wyatt Sicks faction were released by the promotion following WrestleMania 42. Following their departure, Cross and her husband, former SAnitY member Killian Dain, moved to acquire Progress Wrestling in May 2026.
