The professional wrestling community continues to mourn the loss of AEW star Pac, who passed away at the age of 40. Remembered as a modern-day icon and a deeply respected individual, the wrestler was honored throughout this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, which served as a dedicated tribute show. Following the program, members of his faction, the Death Riders, participated in matches, and three of them returned to the ring again just one day later. The Death Riders were heavily featured during the tribute broadcast. Leader Jon Moxley successfully defended his AEW Continental Championship against Orange Cassidy, while Marina Shafir joined forces with Thunder Rosa and Hyan to secure a victory over the trio of Mercedes Moné, Persephone, and Britt Baker. Additionally, the group of Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia, Gabe Kidd, and Bryan Danielson picked up a win against the Don Callis Family.
On the following day, Jon Moxley, Daniel Garcia, and Marina Shafir traveled to compete for the independent promotion DEFY. In a match at the Defy All Heart event, the Death Riders trio defeated The Infantry, consisting of Shawn Dean, Carlie Bravo, and Trish Adora. The contest featured AEW referee Aubrey Edwards as the special guest official. Shafir, who currently holds the DEFY Women’s Championship, was also involved in the night’s proceedings.
After the cameras stopped rolling on Dynamite, Jon Moxley addressed the audience to share a poignant memory of his late friend. Moxley recounted a conversation in his home sauna where Pac emphasized their shared commitment to the profession, telling him that they were professionals who truly care about their craft. The wrestling world continues to offer condolences to the family and friends of the late star following his untimely passing.
