Actress Rashmika Mandanna recently shared insights into her professional dynamic with her husband, Vijay Deverakonda, while they worked on the upcoming period drama, Ranabaali. This project marks their first onscreen collaboration since their wedding. During an “Ask Me Anything” session held on her Instagram account this past Wednesday, Mandanna responded to a fan who inquired about her experience acting alongside her husband. The movie will mark their primary association after the wedding. An Instagram user wrote, “Hi mam (red heart emoji) What was your experience like working with Vijay sir on the set of Ranabaali?”. Replying to the question, Rashmika shared, “Alwaysssss lots of FUN (Monkey and red heart emoji) but on a serious note he is super dedicated and serious when it comes to set as you all know. And I get to learn a lot from him too as always!! (Two red heart emojis) (sic).”.

Mandanna noted that while their time on set was filled with fun, Deverakonda remains exceptionally dedicated and serious about his craft. She expressed that she consistently learns from him when they work together. In her response, she emphasized that despite their lighthearted interactions, he maintains a high level of professionalism while filming. The actress, who recently starred in “Cocktail 2,” also balanced her professional life with personal musings, sharing lighthearted frustration on Instagram about her dog, Aura, enjoying a relaxed Sunday while she remained busy with work.

Director Rahul Sankrityan has offered glimpses into the film’s character development, revealing on his X account that he named the female protagonist after his mother, Jayamma. He explained that writing the character was a deeply personal process, as he aimed to create a figure who remains inspirational to modern women despite being set in a different era. The filming for Ranabaali has already concluded. He took to his X (Earlier known as Twitter) timeline and penned, “While writing #Ranabaali, I found myself walking down memory lanes for every little detail of its world. And when I sat down to write my female protagonist, I began with something deeply personal, I gave her my mother’s name. “Through every emotion she goes through, I took utmost care to make sure she remains a woman who could inspire the women of today, even though she belongs to another time,” he added.

Beyond this project, Mandanna is preparing for her upcoming film, “Mysaa,” where she plays a Gond tribal woman. The role required significant physical training and the performance of complex action sequences. A recently released teaser highlights her performance, particularly an intense scene involving an underwater sequence where her character is seen holding a sickle, a moment that has generated considerable anticipation for the film.
