The official Hindi-language trailer for the global action thriller ‘Seven Dogs’ was released on Thursday, August 13. The Middle East-based production marks a significant cinematic reunion for Indian stars Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt, who are sharing the screen together for the first time in nearly two decades.
At its core, the narrative of ‘Seven Dogs’ follows two renowned Egyptian actors, Ahmed Ezz and Karim Abdel Aziz. However, the film has garnered substantial international attention due to its expansive global ensemble. Beyond the Indian leads, the cast features Hollywood and international icons including Monica Bellucci, Giancarlo Esposito, Martin Lawrence, Tara Emad, Nasser Al-Qasabi, and Max Huang.
The project is helmed by the directing duo Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, known for their work on the blockbuster ‘Bad Boys’ franchise. The film’s concept and co-screenplay were developed by Turki Al-Sheikh. The plot centers on an international criminal syndicate and the emergence of a dangerous new narcotic known as ‘Pink Lady.’ While primarily produced in Arabic and English, the film is slated for a multi-language global release.
The film’s high-octane action and stunt sequences were crafted by 87Eleven, the renowned action design company behind the ‘John Wick’ series. The choreography was led by veteran stunt designer Stephen Dunlevy, whose previous credits include ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ and the ‘John Wick’ franchise.
Produced by Sela Studios in collaboration with Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority and Riyadh Season, the film was designed on a massive scale. Following its official release across the Middle East on May 27, ‘Seven Dogs’ is scheduled to premiere in Indian theaters on August 21.
