Bollywood actress Sharvari is preparing for the release of her latest project, Yeh Prem Mol Liya, which is scheduled to hit theaters on November 27, 2026. As part of the promotional buildup, she has shared insights into her experience filming the track Jhumka Patola under the direction of Sooraj R. Barjatya, a filmmaker whose iconic song sequences have long influenced the sound and visual style of Hindi cinema. Speaking about the video, Sharvari said, “Bollywood songs and dance are actually a big part of why I wanted to become an actor.

Reflecting on their collaboration, Sharvari noted that Barjatya’s methodology extends far beyond standard choreography. She explained that he prioritizes rooting every specific movement and facial expression directly within the story’s narrative. In a public statement, she shared, I have always loved dancing, but with Sooraj sir, a song is so deeply woven into the narrative that you cannot look at it as just a dance performance. During the production of Jhumka Patola, he would walk me through the character’s emotional state, sharing anecdotes from the various songs he has crafted throughout his career to help me capture the right intensity in every step. While shooting ‘Jhumka Patola,’ he would walk me through what the moment meant for my character and share stories from the songs he has made over the years, and I tried to carry that into every step and expression.”.

Sharvari has already established a reputation for her energetic performances in the industry, having previously delivered successful dance numbers such as Taras from the film Munjya and Holiyaan from Vedaa. She noted that Taras served as a significant milestone, allowing her to showcase her screen presence and ability to lead a vibrant, contemporary track. For the actress, the experience with Barjatya represents a different, more integrated approach to musical storytelling.

The performer also emphasized that for her, dance serves as its own language. She stated that there is a reason certain songs remain memorable for decades; they become inseparable from the characters and emotional arcs they represent. After receiving positive feedback on the title track for Yeh Prem Mol Liya, she expressed excitement for audiences to experience Jhumka Patola, which allowed her to explore her passion for dance in a fresh way.

Looking back on her motivations for entering the film industry, Sharvari revealed that classic song and dance sequences were foundational to her aspirations. Growing up, she was inspired by the performances of Madhuri Dixit in Didi Tera Devar Deewana, as well as Karisma Kapoor and Sonali Bendre in Maiyya Yashoda. She would often recreate these routines at home, imagining herself in the heroine’s shoes. Those moments were instrumental in helping her fall in love with the magic of Bollywood cinema.

She expressed that having the opportunity to bring that same sense of romance and large-scale emotion to life under Barjatya’s direction feels like a meaningful full-circle experience. Sharvari added that she finds it deeply satisfying to inhabit the version of the film industry she admired throughout her childhood, describing it as a process she is thoroughly enjoying.
