Dayne “Da Hawaiian Hitman” Viernes successfully defended his Super Heavyweight title on Friday, securing a unanimous decision victory over Vasilii “Dumpling” Kamotskii at Power Slap 25. The event, presented by Monster Energy, drew a sold-out crowd to the Space42 Arena in Abu Dhabi. Judges scored the intense five-round rematch 48-44, 47-45, and 47-45 in favor of the champion, who had previously defeated Kamotskii by majority decision at Power Slap 13 in June 2025. In a highly anticipated rematch, Viernes and Kamotskii went the full five rounds before the judges scored the contest 48-44, 47-45 and 47-45 in favour of the defending champion.
Following the victory, Viernes praised his opponent as the most formidable challenger he has faced to date, expressing genuine surprise at Kamotskii’s striking power. The champion indicated openness to a third encounter between the two fighters. Power Slap CEO Frank Lamicella celebrated the event’s success, noting it was the promotion’s largest and fastest-selling crowd in the city to date, and confirmed intentions to return to Abu Dhabi next year. “This was our biggest crowd here, our earliest sellout,” Lamicella said. “We certainly will be back next year.”. The champion also welcomed the possibility of completing the trilogy between the pair, looking ahead.
The event also featured standout performances on the undercard. Dakota “The Maritime Menace” McGregor, ranked No. 1 and a former title challenger, secured a second-round knockout win against No. 3-ranked Reiley “Slap Shady” Montoya. Lamicella hailed the finish as exceptionally clean, predicting significant future opportunities for McGregor. Other results included Louis “Razor” Robinson winning by disqualification against India’s Jujhar “Tiger” Singh, while Peter “The Aligator All G” Truchlik earned a second-round knockout victory over Merlin “Action” Muusikus.
Power Slap 25 served as a highlight of the broader Abu Dhabi Showdown Week, marking the third consecutive year the promotion has held a major live event in the UAE capital. The week-long program provided a variety of combat sports entertainment and fan-focused experiences across the city.
