Shocking details have emerged regarding the death of actress and model Ridhika Ridhi, whose body was discovered in the capital on Saturday, August 15. The actress, who gained recognition through modeling and later appeared in several television dramas including “Ekhane Manush Bikri Hoy,” “Bahurupi,” “Double Honeymoon,” and “Sundori,” was found hanging from a ceiling fan early that morning.
Bhatara Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mazharul Islam, citing statements from the victim’s family, indicated that Ridhi was involved in a romantic relationship. Preliminary police investigations suggest that the actress may have taken her own life following a heated argument with her partner during a video call in the early hours of Saturday. Family members have specifically alleged that she remained on the video call with the individual while the incident occurred.
Sub-Inspector (SI) Wadud of the Bhatara Police Station confirmed that the actress’s national identification documents, provided by her family, identify her as Leena Akter. While initial evidence points toward a dispute, authorities are currently conducting a thorough investigation to clarify the nature of her relationship with the individual in question and to establish the precise sequence of events leading up to her death.
The official cause of death remains subject to confirmation pending the results of a formal autopsy and the conclusion of the ongoing police inquiry. Beyond her professional work in the entertainment industry, Ridhi was known for maintaining an active presence on social media, where she frequently shared updates and images related to her career and personal projects. Law enforcement continues to gather statements from family members and associates as part of their investigation into the tragedy.
