Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor celebrated the fifth birthday of Guriq, the son of fellow actors Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi, by sharing a charming black-and-white photograph on social media. The image captures Guriq alongside Kareena’s younger son, Jehangir Ali Khan, also known as Jeh, with both children posing confidently with their arms crossed. Notably, the boys wore jackets personalized with their respective initials, ‘G’ and ‘J’. Guriq was born on October 3, 2021, and is the younger sibling of Mehr Dhupia Bedi, who was born on November 18, 2018.
The bond between Kareena and Neha extends back to their professional collaboration in the 2006 Hindi comedy-drama, “Chup Chup Ke.” Directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, the film premiered on June 9, 2006. In the production, Kareena starred as Shruti alongside Shahid Kapoor’s Jeetu, while Neha portrayed the character Meenakshi. The expansive supporting cast included Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Om Puri, Anupam Kher, Shakti Kapoor, Sushma Reddy, Amita Nangia, and Manoj Joshi.
Regarding the family background of the birthday boy, Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi entered into marriage during an intimate ceremony held on May 10, 2018. They welcomed their first child, Mehr, later that same year in November, followed by the arrival of Guriq in 2021.
In a separate social media activity, Kareena also recently honored her sister-in-law Soha Ali Khan on her birthday. She posted photos documenting the close relationship between Soha and her nephew Taimur. The images captured lighthearted moments of Soha playing with Taimur, as well as scenes of Taimur and his cousin Inaaya playing together while Soha looked on.
