With about 100,000 people set to arrive next week for the Reading Festival, residents and festivalgoers alike are urged to plan ahead. The event, which takes place at the Richfield Avenue site, runs from Thursday 27 August to Sunday 30 August.
Travel and Local Impact
- Reading Borough Council has asked people travelling to the town centre ahead of the festival to be prepared for longer travel times.
- While visitor numbers are expected to settle by Saturday and Sunday, local shops and supermarkets will be busier than usual throughout the event.
- Standard parking restrictions, including no-stopping zones for pick-ups, will remain in effect around the venue to manage the influx of traffic.
