Reality television personality Stephen Bear has been sentenced to 24 weeks in prison after admitting to five counts of failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements. The 36-year-old, originally from Walthamstow in east London, appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court to face the charges.
The court heard that Bear had traveled to Brazil without notifying authorities, a direct violation of the registration rules he was placed under in 2023. His requirement to sign the register stemmed from a previous conviction for sharing a private sex tape of his former partner, Georgia Harrison, without her consent.
During his time abroad, Bear posted a series of videos on social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, and Facebook. Prosecutor Maisa Mamman told the court that Bear was essentially “bragging” about his location, even recording himself on a beach and claiming that “the police will not be able to catch” him.
Beyond failing to disclose his trip, Bear neglected to inform the police of his return to the UK within the mandatory three-day window. Furthermore, he failed to notify officials that he had obtained a new passport and two bank cards during his time away. While he was not technically on the run during his trip, his failure to report these details constituted a breach of his legal obligations.
In his defense, legal representatives argued that Bear was not fully aware of the specific restrictions at the time of the breaches, though they maintained he now has a clear understanding of what the requirements demand. Deputy district judge Claire Pithie, however, emphasized the seriousness of the situation, telling Bear that the sentence would take immediate effect.
“You need to work on your strategies. Otherwise you will keep ending up finding yourself in difficult situations,” Judge Pithie remarked during the sentencing.
This latest prison term follows a separate sentencing on Thursday, where Bear was jailed for breaching a restraining order that prohibited him from posting content online regarding Georgia Harrison. Between 1 March 2025 and 21 July 2025, he had repeatedly violated this order by discussing the case and his ex-partner across various social media channels.
Bear previously served time for his 2023 conviction, where he was sentenced to 21 months for sharing the private video of himself and Harrison on OnlyFans and WhatsApp. He had been released after serving half of that original sentence before these subsequent legal issues arose.
Following the sentencing on Thursday, Essex Police released a new photograph of the reality star. He remains in custody as he begins his current 24-week sentence for the registration breaches. The report also notes that stephen Bear, pictured arriving at court on 6 August for sentencing for admitting breaching a restraining order.
