Thousands Gather at Stirling Castle for Radio 2 in the Park Festival

Stirling Castle is serving as the spectacular backdrop this weekend for thousands of music fans attending Radio 2 in the Park festival. The event, which kicked off on Friday night with a DJ set to warm up the crowd, has featured a wide variety of performances ranging from classic singalong anthems to modern hits.

Friday evening saw presenters Sara Cox, Gary Davies, DJ Spoony, Michelle Visage, and Rylan engage the audience, while Gary Davies performed a dedicated DJ set on stage. The weekend lineup continued to impress on Saturday with a diverse roster of artists, including Chaka Khan—who served as the day’s headliner—alongside Texas, The Script, Lulu, Emeli Sandé, and Jack Savoretti. Other Saturday acts included performances from ABC, Alexandra Burke, and veteran broadcaster Tony Blackburn.

The festival concludes on Sunday with Scottish icons Simple Minds taking the stage as the headline act. They are joined by a host of other performers, such as Deacon Blue, Level 42, Blue, Cast, James Blunt, and Appleton. Organizers have successfully brought together a blend of local Scottish favorites and internationally recognized artists for the large-scale event located directly at the foot of the historic Stirling Castle.
