Former actor Noor Bukhari has shared personal insights into her life, revealing that her 2020 remarriage to her first husband, Awn Chaudhry—a current member of the Shahbaz Sharif cabinet—was a matter of divine will. The couple, who had previously divorced in 2012, found their way back to each other after Noor’s intervening two-year marriage to Wali Hamid Ali Khan. Reflecting on the reconciliation, she noted, “I didn’t think it would ever happen, but it was by Allah’s will. When I left everything and turned to His path, I was rewarded. Or maybe it was that our love never ended.”
Now a mother of four, Noor describes her current relationship as deeply fulfilling. She credits her husband for treating her with immense care, stating that she had long hoped to find a partner who would treat her with the same devotion her father once did. “My husband treats me like I am a princess,” she added, expressing gratitude for their current life together.
Noor also detailed her departure from the entertainment industry, which included a successful career in Punjabi and Urdu cinema, modeling, and commercials. She explained that the decision was prompted by the death of her father, who had served as her protector and constant companion during her time in the spotlight. “When my father passed away, that was a huge transition for me. After he passed, I told myself that this was enough,” she recalled. She felt it was time to prioritize her soul and seek a path that would please God, rather than continuing to chase the validation of the industry.
Looking back at her career, the former star admitted she once thrived on the competitive nature of the film industry, including frequent tensions with fellow actors like Reema Khan. “I was at an age where I loved the idea of competition. We all used to be enemies, and everyone used to realise that from the way we acted on set,” she said. Having achieved significant success at a young age, she now feels content with her decision to step away.
Noor encouraged her peers to consider their own exits from the limelight with grace. “I would also tell fellow actors that you should step down with respect one day so you can be missed,” she advised. For her, the transition was about moving beyond the superficiality of fame to focus on a life defined by faith and personal peace.
