WWE fans saw a brief reunion between two prominent members of The Wyatt Family this Halloween, as Braun Strowman shared an update on his Instagram confirming he celebrated the holiday alongside Erick Rowan. The two former stars recently parted ways with the company, marking a significant moment for the duo who remained close friends since their time working together in the iconic faction.
While Strowman was not an original member of the group—which debuted with Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, and Erick Rowan—he became a permanent fixture, outlasting several later additions including Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan. The bonds formed within the group persisted long after their initial run, with Strowman often citing his deep personal friendships with his fellow stablemates.
The reunion follows a period of transition for the performers. Erick Rowan had been re-signed by WWE following the passing of Bray Wyatt in 2023 to serve as an essential part of the “Wyatt Sicks” tribute faction alongside Bo Dallas. The tribute group, which featured Bo Dallas performing under the Uncle Howdy mask, initially launched with significant fanfare and momentum.
Despite this promising start, the group struggled to maintain its creative direction after moving from RAW to SmackDown. Even a successful run as Tag Team Champions could not prevent the company from eventually releasing all five members of the faction. Reports indicate that various creative ideas for the group went unused, and there was even behind-the-scenes interest from other performers to join the collective. But the company quickly didn’t know what to do with the group, and the move from RAW to SmackDown seemed to mark the end of their momentum, the group started off with an incredible debut that became one of the highlights of the year. And it came as a huge shock when WWE decided to release all five of the members, even winning the Tag Team Championships wasn’t enough to improve their fate. Braun Strowman had been released by WWE several months prior to Rowan’s departure and was never officially integrated into the Wyatt Sicks, despite vocal fan support for his inclusion.
The history of the Wyatt brand remains complex, having been shaped by numerous figures, including Alexa Bliss, who played a major role in the success of Bray Wyatt’s “The Fiend” persona. Bliss was reportedly slated to join the tribute project at one stage, though those plans ultimately failed to materialize.
