Aston Villa have reportedly submitted a formal proposal to sign Real Madrid forward Endrick, as the 20-year-old faces an uncertain future at the Santiago Bernabeu. Following the arrival of Carlos Espi, manager Jose Mourinho has indicated that the Brazilian international may struggle to secure consistent minutes, effectively opening the door for a potential departure this summer. Endrick, who joined Los Blancos in 2024 on a contract running until 2030, is currently evaluating his options.
The report confirms that Aston Villa are among the clubs to have expressed interest in the young forward, with their proposal meeting the specific conditions he has set for a move. Endrick is reportedly prioritizing a transfer to a club that competes in European competition and can guarantee him a starting role as a primary number nine, ensuring he maintains his development trajectory.
His recent track record supports this ambition; during a six-month loan spell at Lyon, he made 21 appearances across all competitions and registered 16 goal contributions. He enjoyed significant playing time during that stint, starting 14 of his 16 league matches. Most recently, the former Palmeiras man featured for Real Madrid in their pre-season friendly against Ferencvaros, playing 64 minutes before being replaced by Jorge Cestero Sancho.
From a financial perspective, Real Madrid are keen to facilitate a loan move and are considering subsidizing part of the forward’s salary, which is currently around €5 million net per season. This strategy aligns with the club’s broader plans to sanction the departure of several youth players, having already generated €189 million from the sale of academy stars. Los Blancos originally signed the player for a reported €35 million, plus €25 million in add-ons, and have spent close to €80 million on him to date, including base fees, commissions, and bonuses.
Loaning out Endrick appears to be the most logical solution for the Spanish giants, given the intense competition for the centre-forward position. Rather than spending the upcoming season at the Bernabeu and risking limited game time, a temporary move would allow him to continue his growth and potentially return to Los Blancos with significantly more experience.
