The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially scheduled its 95th Annual General Meeting (AGM) to take place on September 18, 2026. The session is set to commence at 11:30 AM (IST) at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai, as confirmed in a notice issued by the office of secretary Devajit Saikia to state associations.
A primary focus of the meeting will be the financial review for the organization. The agenda includes the adoption of the Treasurer’s Report and the audited accounts for the 2025-26 fiscal year, alongside the approval of the annual budget for the 2026-27 period. Additionally, the board will appoint auditors for the upcoming fiscal year and determine their remuneration.
Administrative appointments form a significant portion of the proceedings. The board will elect and induct two representatives from the General Body into the IPL Governing Council, and one representative from the Indian Cricketer’s Association will also be inducted into the same body. Furthermore, the meeting will cover the appointment of the Ombudsman and Ethics Officer, as well as the formation of various Standing, Cricket, and Umpire Committees.
The BCCI is also moving forward with appointments for the Junior Cricket Committee. Applications for five available positions are currently being accepted, with a submission deadline of September 5. Candidates will undergo a formal screening and shortlisting process, which will conclude with personal interviews.
The meeting agenda is extensive and covers several governance and policy matters. Key items include the confirmation of minutes from the 94th AGM held on September 28, 2025, and the adoption of the Secretary’s report for the 2025-26 cycle. Members will also review reports and recommendations from the Apex Council, the CEO, and the Governing Council to establish future policy directions.
Other critical business includes the review of reports from the Ombudsman and Ethics Officer, as well as the internal committee report regarding the Prevention of Sexual Harassment Policy. The board will also consider granting Associate Membership to the Cricket Association of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
The assembly will address the appointment of BCCI representatives to the International Cricket Council or similar global organizations. Members may also propose motions, provided they have submitted notice to the secretary at least 21 days in advance.
Finally, the meeting will include the ratification of rules framed by the Apex Council under Rule 15 of the BCCI regulations. The Chairperson retains the authority to include additional necessary items in the agenda or permit the discussion of other informal business as required.
