Uncapped 17-year-old bowling all-rounder Farjana Easmin has been named to the Bangladesh squad for the upcoming Women’s Asia Cup 2026 in Dubai and the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya. She replaces left-arm pacer Fariha Islam Trishna, who was ruled out following an injury.

Trishna, 23, underwent an MRI that confirmed a Grade II tear in her right thigh. Medical staff estimate she will require four to six weeks to complete her recovery.
