Hull City winger Sorba Thomas has emerged “completely unscathed” after being involved in a road traffic accident near the club’s Cottingham training facility on Friday. The 27-year-old Welsh international, who recently joined the Premier League side, was not injured when his vehicle overturned.

Images circulating on social media showed the player’s car on its roof, surrounded by shattered glass on a narrow street in the East Riding of Yorkshire village. In response to the viral imagery, the club issued a statement to reassure supporters, confirming that Thomas had sustained no injuries during the incident.

Thomas signed with the newly-promoted Hull City from Championship club Stoke City on the final day of the transfer window earlier this month. Since his arrival, the winger has made two appearances for the team. Hull City currently sits third in the league standings after three matches and is scheduled to face Chelsea this Saturday.
