The Spanish Football Federation announced on Thursday that the 2027 Spanish Super Cup will be hosted in Turkey. The tournament is scheduled to take place at Istanbul’s Ataturk Olympic Stadium from February 2 to 7.
This year’s Final Four competition will feature Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, and Real Sociedad. The event typically includes the winners and runners-up from both La Liga and the Copa del Rey. Barcelona enters the tournament as the reigning champions following their victory over Real Madrid in the 2026 final.
The move to Turkey follows a long-standing partnership with Saudi Arabia, which has hosted the competition since 2020. However, Saudi Arabia was ruled out as a venue for 2027 because the tournament dates conflict with the Asian Cup, the continent’s premier men’s international football tournament.
