President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Honors UAE Youth Handball Team for World Championship Qualification

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan officially welcomed the UAE youth handball team, including their administrative and technical personnel, to mark the squad’s successful qualification for the 2027 World Championship. During the reception, the President extended his congratulations to the players, staff, and supporters for this significant milestone, noting that such accomplishments at both the continental and global stages serve as a point of national pride and a boost for the country’s sporting landscape.

The President also recognized the team’s impressive performance at the 19th Asian Men’s Youth Handball Championship, where they secured a second-place finish. He emphasized that the growth of the sports sector remains a vital component of the UAE’s broader national development, asserting that athletic success must continue to align with the country’s rapid progress across all other fields.

The meeting was attended by a high-level delegation, including His Highness Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region. Other notable attendees included Sheikh Saif Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Suroor Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, and Sheikh Nahyan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Zayed for Good Foundation. Also present were Lt. General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; Sheikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Theyab Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs; Sheikh Zayed Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan; and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President, alongside various officials, guests, and citizens.
