Gal Gadot Reveals She Was Unaware of Tom Cruise’s Famous Christmas Cake Tradition

Hollywood actress Gal Gadot recently revealed that she has never received the famous Christmas cake gifted annually by Tom Cruise. During a guest appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast, the 41-year-old actress admitted she was entirely unaware of the long-standing Hollywood tradition until the topic was raised by host Dax Shepard.

When Shepard asked the actress, “Have you gotten a cake from him?” she responded with confusion, questioning, “What cake? He makes cakes?” The inquiry prompted a lighthearted reaction from the podcast hosts, with Shepard remarking that perhaps they should not have brought it up. His co-host, Monica Padman, clarified that while the Mission: Impossible star sends the treat to a large percentage of his professional contacts, it is not necessarily everyone.

Gadot, who worked alongside Cruise on the 2010 film Knight and Day, noted that her professional connection to the actor was brief, stating, “I worked with him for one night.” She insisted that she did not know the star well enough to be on his holiday gift list and even claimed she did not particularly want the cake, noting, “I don’t like cakes, it’s fine. I like chocolate.”

Despite her indifference, the podcast hosts made a playful appeal to Cruise, with Shepard exclaiming, “Tom, let’s get Gal the cake!” and Padman adding that the actress deserved one. The discussion highlighted the status of the dessert as a sought-after item in the industry, with Shepard explaining that it has become a fun social goal in Hollywood circles to befriend someone who receives the gift so they can sample it.

Shepard admitted that he has never received a cake from Cruise himself but managed to try a slice last year when a friend received one.
