Mini Mathur recently celebrated her victory on the reality competition show ‘Alliance’ by sharing a series of photos on her official Instagram account. In the images, she is seen posing proudly with her trophy, accompanied by the caption, “And just like that… the queen wears her crown.” The post quickly garnered attention from fans and peers, including Bollywood star Katrina Kaif, who commented, “Congratssssssss.” Malaika Arora also joined in the celebration, writing, “Awesome mini.”
The praise continued with actor Ridhi Dogra, who lauded Mathur’s performance and demeanor on the show. Dogra expressed her admiration in a heartfelt comment, noting that Mathur’s presence made her feel proud to be a woman. She praised Mathur for being level-headed, dignified, and maintaining a light, fun energy throughout the competition, concluding with a warm, “Well deserved. Congratulations.”
Mathur’s success has been a point of pride for her family, particularly her husband, director Kabir Khan. Katrina Kaif, who has maintained a long-standing professional relationship with Khan through collaborations on films such as ‘New York’ (2009), ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ (2012), and ‘Phantom’ (2015), is well-acquainted with the couple. Reflecting on the experience, Mathur shared that she was surprised by how emotionally invested her husband became in the show, noting that their family spent significant time discussing the contestants and her progress on WhatsApp.
“I do not think anyone in my family expected me to survive without my phone, my people, my routine, and everything I hold close,” Mathur remarked during an interview with IANS. She added that the entire experience feels surreal and has provided her with a fresh perspective on life. She noted that her husband’s deep involvement in the show was unlike any other project he had followed in her career, and she is certain he is proud of her achievement.
Katrina Kaif’s own path to stardom began after she was born in British Hong Kong and lived in various countries before settling in London. She started her career in fashion modeling as a teenager, eventually being cast by filmmaker Kaizad Gustad in the 2003 film ‘Boom’. Despite early challenges with the Hindi language and the film’s commercial failure, Kaif persevered.
