Sadia Jahan Prova, who once established herself as a prominent figure in the industry, has significantly shifted her professional focus. Starting her journey as a model before moving into numerous television dramas and telefilms, she has navigated a challenging career path filled with various highs and lows. Having moved past previous personal struggles, the actress is now prioritizing a stable lifestyle, treating acting as a secondary commitment rather than her primary occupation.
For the past year and a half, Prova has been serving as a director at an electronics company, a role she identifies as her main professional engagement. She noted that she is no longer in a hurry to be a regular presence on screen. Instead, she only chooses projects that offer compelling stories, unique characters, and appropriate compensation. Despite this shift, she has recently participated in two government-grant films: Jhumur Asma Jui’s ‘Dui Poyshar Manush’ and Sadek Siddiqui’s ‘Dena Paona’. She explained that her involvement in these projects stems from a genuine interest in the scripts and her assigned roles, though she noted that filming for these movies is currently ongoing and expected to be completed within the year.
Outside of cinema, Prova has maintained a presence in the OTT landscape, notably gaining attention for her work alongside Mosharraf Karim in the production ‘Look a Like’. She also received praise for her performance in the drama ‘Bortoman’, directed by Ahmed Shakil Nissan, and she continues to appear in the ongoing NTV serial ‘Porer Meye’.
Her personal life has been subject to intense public scrutiny throughout her career. During a peak period of her fame, she married actor Ziaul Faruq Apurba in August 2010. The couple was highly popular at the time, frequently appearing together in various talk shows. However, the marriage was cut short after a former partner of Prova leaked private footage of her, leading to their formal divorce in February 2011.
