Andries Gous was the standout performer for the Kings, anchoring the innings with a brilliant 82 off 51 balls. His knock included six fours and six sixes, providing the necessary momentum before he became the sixth wicket to fall during the 17th over. Additional late-order contributions from Matthew Forde and McKenny Clarke, who each struck two sixes, helped push the total to a competitive level. Fabian Allen remained unbeaten on 28 off 17 balls, but the Kings’ tight bowling ensured they secured the win. The Falcons had contributions from all of their top-order but identical, miserly spells of 2 for 18 from Maheesh Theekshana and skipper Roston Chase helped the Kings secure a narrow win to get on the board right away.
