Dhallywood actor Taskin Rahman is reportedly preparing for a return to the big screen, with discussions currently underway for a role in director Tanim Rahman Angshu’s upcoming project, Limbo. Taskin, who made a striking debut as a villain in the 2017 hit Dhaka Attack, garnered significant audience attention for his unique performance. Although he appeared in the 2023 film Casino, that project had been filmed several years prior. Following his initial success, Taskin appeared in a few other films before stepping away from the industry, eventually moving to Australia to seek treatment for an eye condition.
The upcoming film Limbo marks a significant milestone as it signals director Tanim Rahman Angshu’s return to filmmaking after a seven-year hiatus. The project is being billed as the country’s first space drama and cosmic romance. There is strong speculation regarding Taskin’s potential involvement in this ambitious production, which would mark his first major cinematic project since his health-related hiatus.
Regarding the collaboration, director Tanim Rahman Angshu confirmed that discussions have taken place with Taskin. However, the director noted that the actor’s participation remains contingent upon his physical recovery. Currently, Taskin is in Australia undergoing medical treatment. Tanim stated that it is too early to provide a definitive update on his health, noting that full recovery will require further time.
Looking ahead, Tanim Rahman Angshu plans to begin filming for Limbo in December of this year. The director indicated that further details regarding the production and the cast will be shared with the media in the near future.
