FIBA has officially named the premium automobile brand Jetour as the Global Car Supplier for the upcoming FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027. The agreement, signed in Doha on Saturday by FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis and Jetour International President Ke Chuandeng, establishes a partnership that will extend through the tournament’s final phase.
As part of the collaboration, Jetour is set to provide an extensive fleet of official vehicles and mobility services to support participating teams, delegations, guests, and other tournament officials. This initiative marks Jetour’s first venture into a premier global basketball event, effectively expanding the company’s “Travel+ Sports” strategy into the sport. The brand’s ethos, centered on exploration and resilience, is intended to mirror the values of passion and teamwork found in basketball.
The 2027 World Cup will be a historic milestone as the first edition of the competition hosted in the Middle East. The tournament is scheduled to feature 32 national teams competing across 92 individual games in Qatar. Regarding the deal, Zagklis noted that the partnership aligns with the high standards of the event and expressed anticipation for Jetour’s contribution to its success. Ke Chuandeng described the arrangement as a mutually beneficial move that creates significant value for both parties, while also offering global fans an opportunity to engage with the “Travel+” experience.
Jetour has previously established a footprint in international sports through localized collaborations, including long-term ties with major football clubs across Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas. Notably, the company served as the Official Mobility Partner for the 2025 FIFA Arab Cup, where it deployed a fleet of 400 T1 and T2 models to transport athletes and officials. Beyond its logistical role in the 2027 tournament, Jetour intends to leverage this partnership to foster basketball culture and engage with local communities on a global scale.
